Chantry Cottage
-
Blythburgh has its own village pub, The White Hart, with views over the Blythe Estuary and serving excellent drink and food, with a warm welcome from the landlord.
-
Chantry is on the outskirts of some very fine walking: from the cottage, you can complete several round walks to Walberswick and back with two good pubs and a village shop along the way.
-
Or visit RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich, home of the Lost Village, and have locally caught fish and chips on the beach.
-
Snape Maltings, home of Benjamin Britain, is within a 15-minute drive where you can spend an afternoon shopping, exploring or walking.
-
Seaside destinations including Southwold, with its pretty seaside huts and famous pier, are a 5-minute drive North. Heading South will take you to Aldeburgh, where there are plenty of fishing boats to watch, or Orford - home of Pinneys Oysters, with an interesting spit owned by the National Trust.
