Chantry Cottage

Chantry Cottage is a picturesque late Georgian detached house in the heart of the beautiful village of Blythburgh and opposite a fine medieval church.

The cottage accommodates up to four people in three bedrooms: two double rooms upstairs and one single room downstairs. The choice is yours. It also has two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, and is an ideal retreat for couples, families, walkers, bird watchers and not forgetting music lovers, thanks to Blythburgh church's infamous music concerts. Well behaved dogs and children are welcome, too.

Blythburgh, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just inland from Southwold Dunwich and Walberswick, is close to the RSPB’s Minsmere nature reserve - the location for BBC Springwatch. It is the starting point for numerous walks along the coast or inland along the River Blyth to Wenhaston and Halesworth. It is also convenient for festival-goers attending Latitude at Henham Hall and the Aldeburgh Festival.

The White Hart, just a few minutes walk from the cottage, serves comforting home-cooked meals and traditional pub grub. There really is something for everything in this idyllic village.

Chantry Cottage combines charm and character with comfort and convenience. There is a large dining room, separate kitchen and lounge that boasts a wood-burning stove. We have just installed bespoke wooden windows for added luxury. The upstairs bedrooms enjoy views over the pretty cottage garden, towards the Church and the Blyth Estuary.
