Nil Desperandum Cottage

Nil-Desperandum Cottage is a 17th century oak framed cottage, in the quiet village of Middleton, Suffolk. It contains original features with up to date amenities. Sleeping 4, the cottage is perfect for family holidays and for couples wanting a romantic hideaway.

The story behind the cottage's unusual name is that it was supposedly made from the timbers of a ship called Nil-Desperandum, which was wrecked off the coast of Dunwich 400 years ago.

Close to the centre of the village, but set well back from the road, the cottage has good sized gardens (enclosed to the rear) and parking for 2 cars.

Internally the newly decorated accommodation has a beamed lounge/dining room with a stone floor and a wood burning stove, whilst the kitchen includes integrated appliances including a dish washer, fridge and an electric oven and gas hotplate. The property also benefits from full gas central heating. The ground floor twin bedroom has an en suite shower/WC/hand basin, whilst to the first floor, accessed via a steep staircase, is a generous double bedroom and newly installed principal bathroom with shower/WC and hand basin. In the original wash houses, outside in the back garden,  you will find a washing machine and small freezer.

Naturally there is central heating, Free Sat, flat screen TV, WiFi and laundry facilities. Linen and towels are provided.

One well behaved dog permitted by prior arrangement.
