Nil Desperandum Cottage

  • Middleton has its own thatched Adnams village pub, The Bell. It serves excellent drink and food with a warm welcome from the landlord.

  • We also have a farm shop, which now has its own small cafe serving light lunches.

  • Nil-Desperandum is on the outskirts of some very fine walking: from the cottage, you can complete several round walks to Westleton and back with two good pubs and a village shop along the way.

  • Or visit RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich, home of the Lost Village, and have locally caught fish and chips on the beach.

  • Snape Maltings, home of Benjamin Britain, is within a 15-minute drive where you can spend an afternoon shopping, exploring or walking.

  • Seaside destinations including Southwold, with its pretty seaside huts and famous pier, are a 20-minute drive North. Heading South will take you to Aldeburgh, where there are plenty of fishing boats to watch, or Orford - home of Pinneys Oysters, with an interesting spit owned by the National Trust.
