Flint Cottage

 

  • Wenhaston has its own village pub a five-minute walk away from the cottage. The Star serves excellent food and drink with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. There are many a musical evening with the occasional beer festival here, too! There is also the Queen's Head just a ten-minute walk away with a pretty beer garden to make the most of their excellent food .

  • A village shop selling newspapers and everyday essentials is a pleasant 15-minute stroll from the cottage.

  • Flint is on the outskirts of some very fine walking: from the cottage, you can complete several round walks to Halesworth or to Blythburgh and back. Or visit RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich, home of the Lost Village, and have locally caught fish and chips on the beach.

  • Snape Maltings, home of Benjamin Britain, is within a 15-minute drive where you can spend an afternoon shopping, exploring or walking.

  • Seaside destinations including Southwold, with its pretty seaside huts and famous pier, are a 10-minute drive North. Heading South will take you to Aldeburgh, where there are plenty of fishing boats to watch, or Orford - home of Pinneys Oysters, with an interesting spit owned by the National Trust.
